MMF...HRDT Department

nto some comments I received lately regarding the Human Resources Development & Training department of the Manitoba Metis Federation . This department is the cash cow for the MMF and the President/CEO of the organization David Chartrand. He is currently negotiating a possible reinvestment by the government. This was an area that a few readers have indicated a possible inflation of client numbers.

Tansi,
Can your group please inform viewers that they can find the only Vancouver exhibition display of evolved Metis art/accessories at the RBC Main Branch on Georgia Street? The information is at http://www.milanart.ca/index_155.html or you can see more at www.milanart.ca
This event is also a BC150 affiliate event and listed on their events calander in their web page.
Thank you.
I have spoken to a former employee of the HRDT dept. who says that the office wa sdead most days. I did attend to the dept. for possible trining funding. i had to sign in upon entering the office. One has to wonder if the initial sign up is used for funding numbers. Upon meeting with a counsellor she regaled me with her knowledge of the Canada job bank site...no MMF initiatives, just Jobbank tools. She then talked about the MMF election, amoung other things. Suffice it to say i continued playing gigs and now work for a major hotel chain here in Winnipeg....no thanks to the MMFs HRDT team.
