Hello Derryl, first off the Metisfest International Organizing Committee would like to thank you for helping us spread the word around on this first International Metis Rendezvous, secondly we would hope you are not moved away and bring out your family to this historical Metis Gathering. I use the word historical for the simple reason, this has never happened before. To be a true International event, I would think you must be on International grounds, also it must be composed of an International commitee and have International performers(entertainers)and also an International crowd which this festival will fit into all 4 categories.We are happily overwelmed by the responses / reply we are getting from Quebec to BC and also Wisconsin to Montana. Come August 28, 2009 at the International Peace Garden,we as Metis/michif people will finally get a North American Gathering point to connect with OUR relatives we know is out there but have not been able to meet or greet yet ! Also Derryl I'd like to tell you that the Peace Garden Horticultural staff has agreed to grow ,at the Front enterance to the Gardens a Metis Infinity Flag that measures 12' x 20' also one side angled off the ground about 4 to 5 feet for all 150000 tourist to view this summer! Is this not just awesome or what!Go Metis Pride Go, Derryl a True International Gathering Point where being METIS is all you will have to worry about, not who you voted for ! Come one COME ALL This festival is for the North American Metis/Michif thats wants Memories, Friendship, Entertainment, Excitement, and to meet family from that tree of ours that hasn't fallen off, yet ! Keep viewing our website www.metisfest.com for updates, the performers list is still being updated regularily. Also to enter the International Peace Garden you will not need a PASSPORT, being Canadian or American, as long as you return to your Country of orgin when you leave the Gardens, Theres Camping-tents, motorhomes, or campers, also rooms on site to rent, also motels, Canadian or American around the area, just get a hold of me to book.Please keep helping us spread our message around and hope you's(Sandersons) may attend.

p.s I would also like to mention that to enter the Peace Garden it costs $10 per carload, not per person, for the weekend, this is (Garden fees) and ALL main stage Metisfest is free but donations can be made at locations at the festival,if one one choses to. But one can't forget the Saturday Nite Supper & A Show at The Berdick Performing Arts Center, where supper will be composed of Buffalo Roast with all the trimmings and desserts, then into the Theatre, for the Show that will have you clapping, dancing, toe tapping and maybe even have you up jigging ! All for $25 for Supper & Show or $15 for just the Show , tickets going fast(only have 500) Call or email if you are in the need of ticket(s).
